We initially contacted Dustin Renner when we decided to relocate back to Alaska in 2008. The difficulties involved with selling our old home in Wyoming and the uncertainty in where we were going to face in finding and purchasing a new home were daunting.  Dustin proved that he knows the Mat-Su valley and the local markets extremely well; it was his knowledge that kept us from making several BIG mistakes when we shopped for our new home.  He and the folks at IEC realty and the DonZimmerman.com team went above and beyond in helping us work around or through problems that had literally been insurmountable to other realtors in the area.  An extremely useful service that IEC realty offered was the closing services facilitated by Mary Hutchins. 

I consider it a privilege to work with Don Zimmerman and Dustin, and especially Mary.  This lady was right on-top of all of the issues involved with closing on our property, securing a mortgage, etc.  This was the third home that we've purchased and I have dealt with several realtors in different parts of the USA.  I have never seen anyone who was as effective in closing a property, especially with the number of issues that our home sale had.  She's literally AMAZING, nothing, and I mean nothing escapes her.  She is very pleasant and caring, yet thorough, timely, and meticulous!
I think that Zimmerman Team are in a class by themselves when it comes to realtors in the Mat-Su valley.  They offer sincerity, honesty, creativity, competence, directness, and openness in their approach to buying or selling homes. In our case we were concerned about purchasing a property where we could keep a horse or two.  Both Don and Dustin have a good bit of personal experience with horses and livestock in the Mat-Su valley.  While not essential to selling a home, this experience is very important to anyone planning on moving to Alaska with livestock. 

I cannot emphasize how strongly I encourage prospective home buyers to work with IEC Realty, particularly if you are interested in a horse property, a hobby farm, rural property, or simply a home in town.  They offer the experience, judgment, and honesty that will get you what you want if it's out there on the market or if it's soon to arrive on the market.  These guys are great!!!!!!!
